IGNITE! 2020: Practical Guide to Serenity

Art Series: Dance

As the first work presented by Reese Wilson as an emerging dance artist, A Practical Guide to Serenity endeavors to showcase and satirize the endless supply of “quick fixes” for anxiety provided by the internet.

With irony developed through text and music, Wilson blends humour and levity with discomfort and tension in order to portray the multi-faceted experience of living with an anxiety disorder. This work will be expressed through the lens of film in a pre-recorded video format.

Show Times –

  • June 12 – 8:40-8:50

Run time – 10 minutes
Rating – PG
