In a too-close future, a social apocalypse strikes the world as a result of over-celebrating Christmas… and we tour through this candy-cane nightmare land with three characters.
Ellen Peterson
Ellen Peterson is a playwright, actor, dramaturge and teacher. She is the founding Artistic Director of The Bug Circus.
Ellen’s plays have been produced by Theatre Projects Manitoba, Prairie Theatre Exchange, the Popular Theatre Alliance of Manitoba, and on the Fringe. Several short works have been published in anthologies.
She is the dramaturge for the Manitoba Association of Playwrights Open Door, and teaches acting and playwrighting at Manitoba Theatre for Young People. She is a member of the Prairie Theatre Exchange Playwrights’ Unit.

Two powerhouse women of Calgary Theatre will take on the roles of those who find themselves squeezed between holiday spirit and holiday debt. Meg Farhall and Norma Lewis!
Meg Farhall is a performer and theatre maker. She is Artistic Producer at Handsome Alice Theatre, and Interim Artistic Producer at The Shakespeare Company. As a creative Meg has brought her art skills to: Alberta Theatre Projects, LunchBox Theatre, Ghost River Theatre, Downstage, Vertigo Theatre, Sage Theatre, One Yellow Rabbit’s High Performance Rodeo, Major Matt Mason and more.

Norma Lewis is the co-founder of 8Rojo,
a collaborative performance company developing innovative work, creating unique, fantastical theatre experiences. For more than a decade she has produced, co-created, and performed in several original works (After, Gretchen’s Nightmare, The Lost Hours, Neruda Nude, and Macula), internationally, in such places as Reykjavik, London, Taipei, Stockholm, Prague, and Mexico City. Norma has also appeared on the Theatre Calgary stage, performing M’lynn Eatenton; Steel Magnolias, and Helen Robinson; To Kill a Mockingbird and next up, Norma will be appearing in the World Premier of Selma Burke, as the title role. She also delights in her work with Dandi Productions in their original creation of The Twins and the Monster in affiliation with several philharmonic orchestras, in cities across Canada and the United States for family audiences. Her next upcoming performance will be with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra in May 2024.
