On September 12-13, Sage Theatre is excited to be a part of the Elbow River Casino fundraising program and we’re inviting our community to be a part of the fun!
Casinos fundraisers are a vital way for charities like ours to generate substantial support. These funds make a direct, tangible impact on the work we do at Sage.

Roles available
Cashier
- Redeems player’s chips for cash.
- Minimal amount of computer input is required, cash handling experience is required.
Chip Runner
- A courier (runner) for chip orders
- Participates in the opening and closing of games.
- Minimal computer input is needed.
General Manager
- To supervise all aspects of the casino, ensuring the casino is conducted according to the laws.
Banker
- To supervise the cash cage.
- Document all cash cage transactions, ensure the security of the chips and cash in the cash cage.
- Hold the cashiers accountable for the chips and cash they manage while on duty.
Count Room Staff
- Open and sorts cash from Drop Boxes.
- One is required to input count from each drop box in computer.
- Runs cash through money machines, amalgamates each drop box.
Count Room Supervisor
- Needs to have computer literacy.
- Inputs the count from each drop box.
What you need to know
- Volunteers are limited to one role at a time. Volunteers who are working in a role cannot act in another role the next day.
- Check in the volunteer lounge to receive a nametag.
- It’s very important that you arrive on time.
- Volunteers are not permitted to play (gamble) at the tables or the slot machines during the 2 days.
- The consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited before/during shift.
- Dress is casual, ripped or torn clothing is not acceptable.
- The nametags supplied need to be worn at all times.
